Watch Winders Breitling

History of Breitling

From his workshop in the Jura in Switzerland in 1884, Léon Breitling chose to devote himself to a unique and demanding field: chronographs and counters. Precision instruments for sport, science and industry. With its high quality products and its constant search for innovation, the brand has accompanied the development of competitive sports and the automobile, but also accompanied the pioneers of aviation.

In 1915, Breitling, a pioneer in wrist-chronographs, invented the first independent chronograph pusher. In 1923, the company perfected the system by separating the “start/stop” function from the “reset” function. Now, whether it's sports timing or flight, this patented innovation makes it possible to add several times in a row without having to reset the hands to zero. In 1934, Breitling gave the chronograph a modern look by creating a second independent reset pusher. A decisive lead, quickly adopted by all competitions.

In 1969, the brand launched its first self-winding chronograph movement, responding to one of the major challenges of 20th century watchmaking. In 1984, Breitling launched the Chronomat mechanical chronograph watch, which paved the way for the revival of the mechanical chronograph watch, and the chronograph watch became Breitling's flagship watch.

In 2009, the company's engineers created the Breitling Caliber 01, an automatic movement entirely designed and manufactured in its workshops. Since then, the brand has developed a series of in-house movements equipped with different functions, such as the B04 calibers with a second time zone and B05 with universal time.

As a leader in mechanical chronographs, Breitling also occupies a leading position in the field of electronics. Thus, the brand created the Emergency, the first wristwatch in the world with a true integrated dual-frequency distress beacon, and developed its own electronic chronograph movement, thus placing itself at the forefront of innovation. Versatile, designed specifically to meet the needs of pilots.

I need a watch winder for my Breitling watch ?

If you don't wear your Breitling every day, consider putting it on a watch winder, because your Breitling needs to be wound a certain number of times a day to fully wind the mainspring and extend its life.

A watch winder is a luxury device that maintains your Breitling without worrying about winding it.

But if you wear your Breitling every day, you don't need to put it in your winder.

Rotation direction for Breitling

The watch winder must work properly to properly wind your Breitling. It must be able to rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise and in both directions.

If your Breitling needs to be wound clockwise, turning your watch counter-clockwise will not power it, so it will not be wound. To find out the direction of rotation of your Breitling, you can follow our winding parameters for Breitling.

Tours per day for Breitling

The minimum number of revolutions an automatic watch needs to gain power often varies from day to day.

For example, most Breitling watches require 800 TPD, you can check the winding parameters for Breitling.

If you spin a Breitling watch winder at 200 or 400 TPD, the watch will not gain any power and the watch will stop.

With an adjustable direction of rotation, you have all the possibilities to wind your automatic watch.
