History of Hublot
Hublot is a fine watchmaking manufacture founded in Switzerland in 1980 and directed by Ricardo Guadalupe since 2012. The watchmaker was acquired by LVMH, the world leader in luxury, on April 24, 2008.
The brand's founder, Carlo Crocco, grew up in a family of Italian watchmakers. In 1967, he designed his first watch. In 1980, he founded the company MDM Genève (acronym for Marie-Danielle Montres, then Montre Des Montres) and its watch brand Hublot.
At the time, it was the first luxury watch brand to combine gold with natural rubber. In 2004, Carlo Crocco entrusted the management of the company to Jean-Claude Biver, the former boss of the watch brand Blancpain, to concentrate on the management of the MDM Foundation.
I need a watch winder for my Hublot watch ?
If you don't wear your Hublot every day, consider putting it on a watch winder, because your Hublot needs to be wound a certain number of times a day to fully wind the mainspring and extend its life.
A watch winder is a luxury device that maintains your Hublot without worrying about winding it.
But if you wear your Hublot every day, you don't need to put it in your winder.
Rotation direction for Hublot
The watch winder must work properly to properly wind your Hublot. It must be able to rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise and in both directions.
If your Hublot needs to be wound clockwise, turning your watch counter-clockwise will not power it, so it will not be wound. To find out the direction of rotation of your Hublot, you can follow our winding parameters for Hublot.
Tours per day for Hublot
The minimum number of revolutions an automatic watch needs to gain power often varies from day to day.
For example, most Hublot watches require 800 TPD, you can check the winding parameters for Hublot.
If you spin a Hublot watch winder at 200 or 400 TPD, the watch will not gain any power and the watch will stop.
With an adjustable direction of rotation, you have all the possibilities to wind your automatic watch.
