Watch Winders Tag Heuer

History of Tag Heuer

TAG Heuer is a Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches and chronographs headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It has been part of the LVMH group since 1999 and is no longer affiliated with the TAG group, although this name remains in the brand name.

The company was founded by Édouard Heuer, son of a shoemaker, in 1860 in Saint-Immia in the Bernese Jura, Switzerland. At that time, all watches were wound by key. In 1869, two years after moving his workshop to Biel, Edouard Heuer patented his first invention: an independent crown winder without a key.

In 1880, Édouard Heuer was the first to mass-produce a chronograph. Very quickly, TAG Heuer distinguished itself in high-level sporting events with its technical know-how and numerous patents and innovations, such as the first waterproof case in 1895. Edouard Heuer filed the first chronograph patent in 1882. In 1887, Heuer invented the oscillating pinion, which is still the basis of most chronographs sold in the world today. The brand obtained a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889 for its collection of pocket chronographs.

I need a watch winder for my Tag Heuer watch ?

If you don't wear your Tag Heuer every day, consider putting it on a watch winder, because your Tag Heuer needs to be wound a certain number of times a day to fully wind the mainspring and extend its life.

A watch winder is a luxury device that maintains your Tag Heuer without worrying about winding it.

But if you wear your Tag Heuer every day, you don't need to put it in your winder.

Rotation direction for Tag Heuer

The watch winder must work properly to properly wind your Tag Heuer. It must be able to rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise and in both directions.

If your Tag Heuer needs to be wound clockwise, turning your watch counter-clockwise will not power it, so it will not be wound. To find out the direction of rotation of your Tag Heuer, you can follow our winding parameters for Tag Heuer.

Tours per day for Tag Heuer

The minimum number of revolutions an automatic watch needs to gain power often varies from day to day.

For example, most Tag Heuer watches require 650 TPD, you can check the winding parameters for Tag Heuer.

If you spin a Tag Heuer watch winder at 200 or 400 TPD, the watch will not gain any power and the watch will stop.

With an adjustable direction of rotation, you have all the possibilities to wind your automatic watch.
